Virtel Marketing refines service offerings to make content marketing, social media and public relations more affordable for small and mid-sized businesses

With content marketing becoming the go-to marketing solution for businesses large and small, Utah-based Virtel Marketing has expanded its offerings to provide ways for organizations to avoid the expense of monthly retainers and purchase public relations and social media services a la cart. “What happens when your social media pages aren’t up to date with interesting and engaging content? Nothing,” explained Virtel Marketing CEO Mitch Weight. Though, rather than shell out thousands of dollars each month to a social media agency, Weight encourages newcomers and those testing the waters to try Virtel’s social content creation package for $700 per month. “We manage all of your social networks, creating content and posting several times each day to Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram and LinkedIn,” Weight said, adding that there is no setup fee for Virtel Marketing creating the social media accounts. “Our clients used to search for interesting topics, produce content and hope their audience found the material exciting,” Weight said. “Now they leave that work to us.” For businesses, online marketing is more important than ever. With budgets tight, however, sometimes marketing and public relations are the first things to go with rent due and utility bills piling up. Besides a complete list of social media services, including keyword monitoring and ad optimization, Virtel Marketing also offers affordable blog writing, infographic campaigns, press releases, media outreach and other design and PR services. “It’s unusual to find a business owner these days who doesn’t understand the importance of social media and content marketing,” Weight said. “However, that doesn’t make it any easier to squeeze in an extra expense with many companies already experiencing belt-tightening.” Paying a marketing agency $5,000 per month is out of the question […]

Virtel Marketing CEO weighs in on Forbes list of social media trends to watch for in 2014

Forbes magazine made news this week with an article that identified seven social media trends to watch for in 2014. Social media expert Mitch Weight, owner of Utah-based Virtel Marketing, said the magazine was spot-on with its predictions for next year. “Forbes is the publication that many businesspeople turn to for answers,” Weight said. “It’s fitting for the magazine to report about these social media trends as more and more commerce moves online.” First, Forbes predicted that “investment in social media will become a necessity, not a luxury.” “Most savvy businesspeople have known for years that visibility in social media is a must,” Weight said. “In 2014, the outliers will relent and finally begin building their companies on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and other social networks.” Companies with robust social media marketing campaigns see many benefits, Weight explained. “Greater brand recognition, inexpensive advertising and stronger relationships with customers are just a few of the gains,” Weight said. “Engagement is the key. To win at social media, you must create a community where people want to hang out and interact with each other.” Forbes also predicted that Google’s social network, Google+, would become an important factor in marketing campaigns in 2014. “Google+ is already the second-largest social network,” Weight said. Facebook boasts about 1.15 billion users, according to Forbes. Officials at Google+ claim to have about 343 million users. “I’m often asked whether social media marketing impacts a company’s search engine optimization,” Weight said. “Having already influenced search rankings, we believe Google+ will become an even more significant factor in the overall search experience.” Writers at Forbes said the Foursquare social network will decline significantly in 2014. Weight agreed. Weight also agreed with the publication that the […]

Virtel Marketing founder announces speaking engagements this fall

Noted marketer, entrepreneur and social media expert, Mitch Weight, will speak next month to business students at Brigham Young University’s Marriott School. The appearance on Nov. 15 is one in a series of speaking engagements Weight has scheduled in the next 60 days. His presentation at BYU will focus on Internet marketing, and the importance of implementing social media into integrated marketing campaigns. “I intend to provide these budding entrepreneurs with knowledge of the digital marketing landscape, the dos and don’ts of managing projects and satisfying clients in this new age,” Weight said. An expert marketer, Weight has helped build multi-million dollar companies while logging experience as a vice president of marketing, lead-generation professional and chief executive officer. Weight leads Virtel Marketing, which is based in Pleasant Grove, Utah. His firm works closely with tech companies, marketing agencies and other small and mid-sized businesses to provide social media and public relations services. When speaking publicly, Weight talks freely about his successes and failures in business, bringing together everything from spirituality to life hacks while discussing the importance of honesty, humor, inspiration and candor in today’s Internet marketing campaigns.
